Hoosic Valley pulled away from Lee (MA) 63-50 in the opening round of the Maple Hill Holiday Tournament. The Indians take on host Maple Hill Sunday 12/29/10 in the final. CJ Bassett paced the Hoosic Valley with 18 points.
The Indians used an impressive first eight minutes and started the game in style racing to a decent first quarter lead 15-5. They put together an extraordinary defensive effort and took control of the quarter.

Hoosic Valley jumped out to a comfortable margin at the break 33-19. The Indians played sound basketball in the second period turning a 10-point first quarter lead into a 14-point halftime bulge.
Hoosic Valley were in control at every period ending horn by margins of 10, 14, 14, & 13.
The Indians placed four players in double figure scoring. CJ Bassett led the Indians with 18 points. Logan Reilly netted 15 points. Tyler Eddy had 11 points. Matt Rowe with 10 points.
Hoosic Valley used expert marksmanship to make 9 baskets from downtown.
CJ Bassett made 4 three-pointers. Tyler Eddy added 3.
Colin O Brien paced the Wildcats with 18 points. Deckler Drodz secured 9 points. Even Houth netted 6 points.
Lee (MA) drilled 5 buckets from jimmer range.
