Mekeel tipped Mayfield 49-36 in a hard fought Western Athletic Conference game. The Lions built on their steady second half play as they led at the end of the the first twenty-four minutes of action and at the final horn.

Mekeel held a slight 3-point advantage at the start of the fourth quarter. This duel was a battle through the first twenty-four minutes of action.

The Lions ended the game in great form as they outscored Mayfield by 10-points when it mattered most.

Mayfield held a slim 2-point margin at the beginning of the second quarter.

The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half intermission with Mayfield out in front.

The Lions put forth a team first approach that provided a spark out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and took the lead 35-32 going into the final frame.

Avery Mills led the Lions with 17 points. Mikyla Mitchell contributed 12 points. Jillian Ballard tallied 7 points.
