Despite a great scoring performance by Kyle Capparello of Mayfield, the Panthers fell to Galway 61-53. Capparello scored a game high 29 points. Carter Scribner led the Golden Eagles with 26 points.
The Golden Eagles executed fantastic in the second half as they pulled away for the decisive win.
The Golden Eagles held a slim 4-point margin at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This battle of wills entertained the crowd through the third period.
Sparked by a great team effort in the second half the Golden Eagles outscored the Panthers 38-21 in the final two quarters. That was contradictory to the first half when the Panthers built a 32-23 lead at the midway point.
The Panthers played solid as a rock in the second period turning a 4-point first quarter deficit into a 9-point halftime edge.
