Mayfield beat Middleburgh 70-36 on the hardwood of Section 2 basketball.

The Panthers poured it on in the second half as they played superb in the win.

Mayfield fired on all cylinders right from the jump and darted in front to gain a nice first quarter lead 17-9.

The Panthers jumped out to a comfortable margin at the break 33-17. Mayfield played as a complete unit in the second period turning a 8-point first quarter lead into a 16-point halftime edge.

Mayfield used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Middleburgh by 6 points.

The Panthers were in command at every quarter buzzer by margins of 8, 16, 22, & 34.

Mayfield had a quartet of players players in double figure scoring. Cloey Dopp paced the Panthers with 17 points. Kelsey Meca netted 16 points. Lindsey Hampton dropped 13 points. Brianna Hubiak sank 11 points.
Mayfield knocked down 9 baskets from downtown.
Kelsey Meca made 4 three-pointers. Cloey Dopp added 3.

Halle Haemmerle led the Knights with 9 points. Gianna Bynum secured 7 points. Madison Palmatier finished with 6 points. Makenzie Terrell totaled 6 points. Hallie Gasner contributed 4 points.
