Maple Hill conquered Cairo-Durham 61-38 in Section 2 basketball play. Rian Jewett paced the Wildcats with 26 points.

Maple Hill used an impressive first eight minutes and darted in front to gain a significant first quarter lead 19-8.
The Wildcats jumped out to a comfortable margin at the break 35-12. Maple Hill played as a complete unit in the second frame turning a 11-point first quarter lead into a 23-point halftime edge.
The offenses fired on all cylinders in the fourth quarter as they generated their highest scoring period of 36 points.
Maple Hill were in front at every period ending horn by margins of 11, 23, 23, & 23.
Cairo-Durham turned up the heat in the second half but it was too little too late.
