Fort Edward fell to the Panthers by 12 points 67-55, in an intense Section 2 basketball non-league match up. Crown Point depended on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third frame and at the closing tick of the clock.
The Panthers finished the game in great form as they outscored the Flying Forts by 5-points when it mattered most.
Crown Point held a slim 3-point margin at the start of the second quarter.
The outcome was still in limbo as the teams went to the first half break with Fort Edward gaining the upper hand.
The Flying Forts played solid as a rock in the second frame turning a 3-point first quarter deficit into a 3-point halftime lead.
Crown Point came through with inspired basketball out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and grabbed an advantage of 51-44 going into the final frame.
The Panthers had a trio of players players in double figure scoring. Zach Spaulding led the Panthers with 17 points. Jake Ladeau racked up 16 points. Reese Celotti netted 10 points. Dylan Soups had 9 points.
