Despite a great scoring performance by Jadon Cummings of Troy, the Flying Horses were defeated by Averill Park 48-44. Cummings scored a game high 19 points. Matt Lettko led Averill Park balanced attack with 11 points. 

Averill Park will now play Lansingburgh in the Class A semi-finals in Glens Falls on Thursday March 5.

Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for only 14 points.

Averill Park played solid as a rock in the second quarter turning a 4-point first quarter lead into a 8-point halftime edge.

Averill Park used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Troy by 8 points.

Troy cut into the lead in the final quarter but the seconds ticked away hurting any chance of a comeback.

The Warriors were in control at every quarter buzzer by margins of 4, 8, 16, & 4.

Matt Lettko led Averill Park with 11 points. Michael Re netted 10 points. Vinny Carucci scored 9 points. Ben Romer finished with 9 points. Jack Long chalked up 6 points.
Averill Park drained 5 buckets from beyond the arc.

Jadon Cummings paced Troy with 19 points. Marquis Hamby scored 10 points. Alex Wolfe added 8 points.
The Flying Horses shot outstanding from the free throw line as they produced 92.9%, 13 of 14.
