Mekeel Christian seized a down to the wire victory over Lansingburgh 74-67 in Class A title game. Alex Barnhill and Ozzy DeJesus combined to score 60 points for the victors. Mekeel Christian will play the winner of CBA-Syracuse vs. Franklin Academy on March 14, 12:45 pm at Hudson Valley Community College.
Mekeel Christian seized a down to the wire victory over Lansingburgh 74-67 in Class A title game. Alex Barnhill and Ozzy DeJesus combined to score 60 points for the victors. Mekeel Christian will play the winner of CBA-Syracuse vs. Franklin Academy on March 14, 12:45 pm at Hudson Valley Community College.
The Lions built on their consistent second half play as they led at the end of the the third quarter and at the closing horn.
The Knights used an impressive first eight minutes and played excellent team basketball on their way to a decent first quarter lead 21-14. Yet, The Lions rallied in the second quarter and outscored Lansingburgh by 10 points.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half intermission with Mekeel Christian out in front. Mekeel Christian played sound basketball in the second quarter turning a 7-point first quarter deficit into a 3-point halftime lead.
The Knights used an impressive first eight minutes and played excellent team basketball on their way to a decent first quarter lead 21-14. Yet, The Lions rallied in the second quarter and outscored Lansingburgh by 10 points.

The Knights placed three players in double figure scoring. Vinny Tario paced Lansingburgh with 15 points. K.J. Allison powered in 14 points. Quashawn McFarlane collected 11 points. Kobi Wallace tallied 8 points. Isaiah Knight popped in 8 points.
