Averill Park knocked off Queensbury 52-39 to win their seventh consecutive sectional championship. The Warriors advance to the Subregionals and play Franklin Academy on Tuesday March 10, 6 p.m. in Potsdam.
Averill Park used an impressive first eight minutes and started the game in style racing to a decent first quarter lead 13-4. They put together an imposing defense and took control of the quarter.
Averill Park used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Queensbury by 4 points.
