Shenendehowa seized a down to the wire victory over Saratoga Springs 60-56 in what turned out to be a terrific heavyweight bout of Section 2 basketball teams. Shenendehowa moves on to play Cicero-North Syracuse on Saturday March 14, at 4:15 in Troy at Hudson Valley Community College.
Shenendehowa had great energy right from the tip off and sprinted out to a nice first quarter lead 20-6. They put together a magnificent defensive effort and took control of the quarter. Yet, The Blue Streaks rallied in the second quarter and outscored Shenendehowa by 6 points.
The offenses were ingnited in the fourth quarter as they generated a net scorching 43 points as Saratoga tried to rally from their early deficit.

Shenendehowa had a trio of players players in double figure scoring. Jillian Huerter paced Shenendehowa with 16 points. Kaitlyn Watrobski secured 12 points. Meghan Huerter netted 11 points. Rylee Carpenter scored 7 points.
Shenendehowa shot with skillful form at the free throw line as they produced 78.6%, 22 of 28.
