Schalmont beat Ogdensburg Free Academy 75-63 in a Class B NYSPHSAA Subregional game. Shane O Dell led the Sabres with 37 points. O Dell went over 2000 points for his career scoring in the first half of the victory. Schalmont moves on to play Saranac from Section VII on Friday March 13, at 7 p.m. in Beekmantown.
Ogdensburg Free Academy held a slim 2-point margin at the beginning of the second quarter.
Schalmont played well in the second period turning a 2-point first quarter deficit into a 10-point halftime lead.
The Sabres placed three players in double figure scoring. Shane O Dell paced Schalmont with 37 points. Tyler Pepicelli poured in 12 points. Trent Randle scored 10 points.
