Mechanicville won a nail biter versus Schalmont 53-48 in a tough as nails Class B semi-final sectional tilt. Charli Goverski led the Red Raiders with 20 points.
The Red Raiders were strong out of the gate and played excellent team basketball on their way to a hefty first quarter lead 15-4. They put together a magnificent defensive effort and took control of the quarter.

Mechanicville raced ahead after two quarters 35-17.
The Red Raiders played sound basketball in the second frame turning a 11-point first quarter lead into a 18-point halftime lead.
Schalmont used a determined effort in the third quarter and outscored Mechanicville by 11 points.
The Red Raiders managed to be ahead at every period ending horn by margins of 11, 18, 7, & 5.

Charli Goverski paced the Red Raiders with 20 points. AJ-Analda Joseph powered in 11 points. Chloe Goverski poured in 9 points. Kobi Wallace scored 8 points. Amy DiSiena contributed 6 points.

Schalmont placed three players in double figure scoring. Payton Graber led the Sabres with 17 points. Karissa Antoine contributed 14 points. Haley Burchhardt scored 11 points.
