Mekeel Christian ruined the day for Gloversville 79-53 in Section 2 basketball play. Alex Barnhill and Jonan White combined to score 43 points for the victors.
Mekeel Christian seemed ready to go right from the jump and sprinted out to a nice first quarter lead 16-10.
The Lions raced ahead after two quarters 34-20. Mekeel Christian played sound basketball in the second quarter turning a 6-point first quarter lead into a 14-point halftime advantage.
The Lions maximized their play in the third quarter and outscored Gloversville by 15 points.
Mekeel Christian were in control at every quarter buzzer by margins of 6, 14, 29, & 26.
The Lions had a quartet of players in double figure scoring. Alex Barnhill paced Mekeel Christian with 23 points. Jonan White contributed 20 points. Ozzy DeJesus scored 17 points. Ricky Rollins popped in 13 points.
