Glens Falls outlasted Gloversville 89-78 in a high energy Section 2 basketball battle. Joseph Girard III paced the Indians with 41 points.
Glens Falls had great energy right from the tip off and darted in front to gain a decent first quarter lead 27-18. Yet, The Dragons rallied in the second quarter and outscored Glens Falls by 7 points.
The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half stoppage with Glens Falls out in front. However, Glens Falls took advantage of a strong third quarter and led 68-59 headed to the fourth quarter.
Glens Falls used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Gloversville by 7 points.
The Indians were in command at every period ending horn by margins of 9, 2, 9, & 11.
Glens Falls had a trio of players players in double figure scoring. Joseph Girard III led Glens Falls with 41 points. Trenton Girard netted 15 points. Nicholas Danahy totaled 13 points.
