Mechanicville pulled away from Ichabod Crane 62-48 in an energetic Section 2 basketball match up. Charli Goverski paced the victors with 24 points.
Mechanicville jumped out to a comfortable margin at the break 31-12. The Red Raiders played as a complete unit in the second period turning a 4-point first quarter lead into a 19-point halftime edge.
Mechanicville used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Ichabod Crane by 4 points.
Ichabod Crane rallied in the final quarter but time was clearly a factor.
The Red Raiders were in control at every quarter buzzer by margins of 4, 19, 23, & 14.
Charli Goverski led Mechanicville with 24 points. AJ-Analda Joseph netted 16 points. Amy DiSiena had 7 points. Chloe Goverski finished with 7 points.
