Hoosic Valley slipped past Greenwich 65-63 in what turned out to be a terrific showdown of Capital Region basketball sides. Tyler Eddy led the winners with 27 points.
Hoosic Valley produced a last period comeback as they eclipsed Greenwich 20-18 by the conclusion of the frame. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome.
Hoosic Valley held a slim 1-point margin at the start of the second quarter.

The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Greenwich out in front. The Witches played performed effectively in the second quarter turning a 1-point first quarter deficit into a 2-point halftime bulge.
Hoosic Valley made a charge out of the break, after they trailed at the half, and tied the game 45-45 going into the fourth period.
Hoosic Valley placed three players in double figure scoring. Tyler Eddy paced Hoosic Valley with 27 points. Logan Reilly contributed 13 points. CJ Bassett had 13 points.
Hoosic Valley drilled 14 trifectas.

The Witches had a triplet in double figure scoring. Jesse Kuzmich led Greenwich with 19 points. Christian O Brien powered in 18 points. Alex Curtis finished with 11 points.

The Witches shot with superb accuracy from the free throw line as they produced 72.7%, 8 of 11.
