The Sabres used an impressive first eight minutes and started the game in style racing to a hefty first quarter lead 22-8.
Schalmont raced ahead after two quarters 38-17. The Sabres performed effectively in the second frame turning a 14-point first quarter lead into a 21-point halftime bulge.
Schalmont were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Ichabod Crane by 7 points.
