SPORTS STAFF

Whitehall were cut down versus the Burghers by 14 points, 60-46, in a hard fought Section 2 hoop tug-of-war. Abigail Ranous paced the victors with 18 points.

Warrensburg held a slight 1-point advantage heading into the second quarter.

The Burghers performed effectively in the second quarter turning a 1-point first quarter lead into a 10-point halftime edge.

Warrensburg used a determined effort in the third quarter and outscored Whitehall by 9 points.

Whitehall cut into the lead in the final quarter but time was clearly a factor.

The Burghers were in front at every period ending horn by margins of 1, 10, 19, & 14.

Warrensburg placed four players in double figure scoring. Abigail Ranous led the Burghers with 18 points. Aubrey Ranous poured in 15 points. Hope Boland scored 11 points. Tenisha Tyrell sank 10 points.

Kyrie Smith paced Whitehall with 17 points. Zoe Eggleston registered 10 points. Blake Bird poured in 6 points.
Whitehall connected on 5 baskets from downtown.
