In spite of an excellent game by Janay Brantley of Catskill, the Cats fell to Ravena 45-44. Brantley scored a game high 17 points. Hannah VanDerzee led Ravena with 12 points.
Ravena used an impressive first eight minutes and played excellent team basketball on their way to a decent first quarter lead 12-4. They used an extraordinary defensive effort and gained momentum throughout the frame.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half break with Ravena gaining the upper hand.
Ravena used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Catskill by 7 points.
