Albany Academy escaped with a victory over Cohoes 50-41 in what turned out to be a gigantic encounter of Capital Region basketball units. Mianna Jackson led the winners with 18 points. Albany Academy relied on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the first twenty-four minutes of action and at the last tick of the clock.
Albany Academy held a slight 2-point advantage at the beginning of the second stanza.

The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half recess with the game tied 26-26.
Albany Academy utilized excellent teamwork out of the locker room, after a tight game at the half, and snatched the lead 40-33 advancing to the last quarter.
