Coxsackie-Athens slipped past Tamarac 56-49 in what turned out to be a terrific encounter of Section 2 cagers. Josh Kiefer paced the Indians with 20 points.
Coxsackie-Athens produced a last period rally as they eclipsed Tamarac 16-9 in the closing minutes. That final push proved to be the difference.
The Indians held a slim 1-point margin heading into the second quarter.

The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half stoppage with the game tied 32-32.
