Schenectady won a nail biter versus Voorheesville 51-44 in what turned out to be a great non-league game between Section 2 hoop units. Talia Washington led the victors with 19 points.
Schenectady fired on all cylinders right from the jump and bolted out to a decent first quarter lead 12-6. They put together an imposing defense and seized momentum in the period.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half break with Schenectady nosing in front.
Schenectady used a determined effort in the third quarter and outscored Voorheesville by 4 points.
The Patriots were in control at each period closing whistle by plus 6, 2, 6, & 7.
