Lake George won a tense battle versus Cohoes 39-38 in a marquee Section 2 basketball tug-of-war.

The Warriors produced a last period comeback as they bested the Tigers 14-7 by the conclusion of the frame. That final push proved to be the difference.

Cohoes and Lake George were all square after one period of play.

The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Cohoes nosing in front. Cohoes produced as a complete unit in the second frame turning a tied game into a 1-point halftime bulge.

The Tigers used a determined effort in the third quarter and outscored Lake George by 5 points.

Ava Pushor led Lake George with 16 points. Mikayla Duffy poured in 9 points. Mara Knoop scored 8 points.

Olivia Huneau paced the Tigers with 17 points. Shauna Ferris racked up 8 points. Madison Huneau collected 6 points. Quincy Hytko had 5 points.
The Tigers splashed 4 baskets from behind the three point line.
Olivia Huneau nailed 3 three-pointers.
