Saratoga Catholic won a tense battle against Hoosic Valley 42-40 in a premier match up played today.
Saratoga Catholic used a fourth quarter comeback as they ground out a victory versus the Indians 16-12 as the clock struck midnight. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome.

The Indians held a slight 2-point advantage at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This grudge match entertained the crowd through the third frame.
Offensive and defensive adjustments in the second half were a key as Saratoga Catholic outscored the Indians 34-19 in the final two quarters. That was contradictory to the first half when the Indians put together 21-8 lead at the midway point.
The Indians produced as a complete unit in the second period turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 13-point halftime bulge.
Saratoga Catholic capitalized on gritty play in the third quarter and outscored Hoosic Valley by 11 points.
