Mayfield slipped past Galway 38-27 in a first-rate Capital Region basketball rumble on the hardwood.
The offenses really got it rolling in the quarter as they combined for a high octane 23 points.
The teams put on a defensive clinic in the fourth quarter as they combined for merely 8 points.
Mayfield were on top at every period ending horn by margins of 5, 6, 7, & 11.
Lindsey Hampton paced the Panthers with 13 points. Katie LaGrange racked up 8 points. Brianna Hubiak poured in 7 points. Kelsey Meca scored 6 points.
Emma Smith and Ryan Ripepi led Galway with 6 points. Samantha Grant tallied 4 points. Ruth Riecard with 4 points. Isabella Mancini chalked up 3 points.
