Cambridge beat up Berne-Knox 83-41 in a Capital Region basketball match up. Sophie Phillips and Stasia Epler combined to score 43 points for the victors.

Cambridge had great energy right from the tip off and played excellent team basketball on their way to an ample first quarter lead 45-5. They clamped down on their opponent with a magnificent defensive effort and gained momentum throughout the frame. Yet, Berne-Knox perked up in the second quarter and outscored Cambridge by 6 points.

The Indians raced ahead after two quarters 51-17.

Cambridge used a determined effort in the third quarter and outscored Berne-Knox by 15 points.

The teams put on a defensive clinic in the fourth quarter as they combined for only 17 points. Berne-Knox played well in the final quarter but they were chasing an insurmountable deficit.

The Indians were in control at every period closing whistle by separations of 40, 34, 49, & 42.

Cambridge placed three in double figure scoring. Sophie Phillips paced the Indians with 24 points. Stasia Epler netted 19 points. Lilly Phillips scored 15 points.
Cambridge buried 15 baskets from downtown.
Sophie Phillips made 6 three-pointers. Stasia Epler added 4. Lilly Phillips with 3.

Taylor Meacham led Berne-Knox with 17 points. Alexis Wright scored 13 points. Grace Tymchyn poured in 6 points.
