Fonda beat Canajoharie 68-26 in a Section 2 basketball match up.
The Braves had great energy right from the tip off and sprinted out to a hefty first quarter lead 14-6. They used an extraordinary defensive effort and took control of the period.
The Cougars fell behind by a score of 40-9 at the half.
The Braves produced as a complete unit in the second stanza turning a 8-point first quarter lead into a 31-point halftime edge.
Fonda were on top at every period closing whistle by separations of 8, 31, 38, & 42.
The Braves placed three in double figure scoring. Carly Atty paced Fonda with 17 points, 5 assists and 6 steals. Marilyn Whitcavitch netted 10 points and 5 rebounds. Kyla Smith scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Lyndsay Lombardoni sank 8 points. Kieonna Christmas grabbed 8 rebounds.
The Braves knocked down 6 baskets from behind the three point line.
