Saratoga defeated Ballston Spa 87-36 in a Suburban Council basketball match up. Katie Claeson was a serious problem on the offensive end for the Blue Streaks stepping up big-time with 21 points.
Saratoga poured it on in the second half as they coasted to victory.
The Blue Streaks stormed out of the locker room and started the game in style racing to an ample first quarter lead 27-7. They relied on their stout defense and seized momentum in the period.

Ballston Spa lost ground 41-12 at the half. The Blue Streaks performed well in the second frame turning a 20-point first quarter lead into a 29-point halftime advantage.
Saratoga used a determined effort in the third quarter and outscored Ballston Spa by 10 points.
The Blue Streaks were in front at each period closing whistle by separations of 20, 29, 39, & 51.
Saratoga placed five players in double figure scoring. Katie Claeson paced Saratoga Springs with 21 points. Natasha Chudy poured in 17 points. Ella Spain totaled 13 points. Carly Wise finished with 12 points. Abby Ray powered in 12 points.
Saratoga Springs produced 8 baskets from downtown.
Ella Spain made 3 three-pointers. Katie Claeson added 3.
Callie LaGoy led the Scotties with 12 points. Halle Wright registered 6 points. Olivia Verdile collected 5 points. Emily Robbie dropped 4 points.
