Schenectady squeaked by Averill Park 48-37 in an exciting Section 2 hoop match up. Fans were treated to a pulse pounding game. Damari Holder led the winners with 21 points. The Patriots relied on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the last whistle.
Schenectady and Averill Park were all square after one period of play.
Schenectady squeaked by Averill Park 48-37 in an exciting Section 2 hoop match up. Fans were treated to a pulse pounding game. Damari Holder led the winners with 21 points. The Patriots relied on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the last whistle.
Schenectady and Averill Park were all square after one period of play.
The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half intermission with Schenectady nudging ahead. The Patriots performed effectively in the second stanza turning a tied game into a 2-point halftime edge.
However, Schenectady made the most of great halftime adjustments and grabbed a 36-24 lead into the fourth quarter.
The Patriots used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Averill Park by 10 points.
