Ballston Spa escaped with a victory over Averill Park 71-62 in an uber competitive game from around the region. Nick Verdile led the victors with 28 points.

Ballston Spa held a modest 1-point edge at the beginning of the second stanza.

The Scotties produced as a complete unit in the second frame turning a 1-point first quarter lead into a 10-point halftime advantage.

Averill Park capitalized on gritty play in the third quarter and outscored Ballston Spa by 5 points.

The Scotties managed to be ahead at every period ending horn by plus 1, 10, 5, & 9.

Averill Park regained traction in the second half but they ran out of time.

The Scotties had a triplet in double figure scoring. Nick Verdile paced Ballston Spa with 28 points. Andrew Haight powered in 12 points. Jaxen Potter collected 10 points. Kyle Blair had 8 points.
