Schalmont pulled away from Albany Academy 64-52 in a hard fought (518) hoop event. Payton Graber was a serious problem on the offensive end for the Sabres popping in 23 points.


The Sabres used an impressive first eight minutes and played excellent team basketball on their way to a significant first quarter lead 13-7. They put together an imposing defense and seized momentum in the period.

The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half intermission with Schalmont gaining the upper hand.

The Sabres used a determined effort in the third quarter and outscored Albany Academy by 11 points.

Schalmont were in command at each period ending horn by separations of 6, 5, 16, & 12.

The Sabres had a triad in double figure scoring. Payton Graber paced the Sabres with 23 points. Karissa Antoine racked up 16 points. Haley Burchhardt finished with 11 points.
The Sabres splashed 9 baskets from downtown.
Payton Graber nailed 5 three-pointers.

The Bears placed three in double figure scoring. Erin Huban led the Bears with 12 points. Bella Vincent poured in 10 points. Saige Randolph tallied 10 points. Mianna Jackson notched 8 points. Meleena Ottati chalked up 7 points.
The Bears used expert marksmanship to make 5 hoops from deep.
