Fort Edward seized a down to the wire victory over Salem 54-51 in what turned out to be a mammoth clash of Section 2 basketball teams.
Fort Edward seemed focused right from the jump and started the game in style racing to a nice first quarter lead 21-11.
Salem played well in the final quarter but time was clearly a factor.
Fort Edward were on top at every period ending horn by margins of 10, 7, 8, & 3.
Logan Catone paced Fort Edward with 15 points. Hassaun Judge netted 11 points. Will Denton totaled 8 points. Ryan Etu popped in 6 points. James Bombard powered in 6 points.
The Flying Forts drained 9 trey balls.
Hassaun Judge made 3 three-pointers. Logan Catone added 3.
E. Truehart led the Generals with 12 points. P. Mazzucco powered in 8 points. I. Lockhart poured in 6 points. J. Toomey scored 6 points. B. Nichols with 6 points.
