Johnstown were dominant versus Mayfield 60-32 on the hardwood of Section 2 basketball.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for just 12 points. But, Johnstown sprinted out to a decent first quarter lead 10-2. They used an extraordinary defensive effort and took control of the period.

Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for just 12 points. But, Johnstown sprinted out to a decent first quarter lead 10-2. They used an extraordinary defensive effort and took control of the period.
The Lady Bills opened up a sizable halftime advantage of 34-7. Johnstown performed well in the second frame turning a 8-point first quarter lead into a 27-point halftime advantage.
Johnstown were on top at each period closing whistle by splits of (+) 8, 27, 26, & 28.
Johnstown had a triplet in double figure scoring. Jaden Willson paced the Lady Bills with 13 points. Anna Lee collected 12 points. Sarah Pratt had 11 points. J. Chest notched 9 points.
Johnstown shot with superb accuracy from the free throw line as they produced 84.6%, 11 of 13.
