The Black Horses were cut down versus Waterford by 1 point, 39-38, in a tilt that most fans expected to come down to the final buzzer. T.J. Kelley paced the Fordians with 23 points.
Waterford generated a game changing eight-minute surge as they out-shot Schuylerville 11-7 as the clock struck midnight. That spurt ultimately sealed the win.

Waterford generated a game changing eight-minute surge as they out-shot Schuylerville 11-7 as the clock struck midnight. That spurt ultimately sealed the win.
The Black Horses held a modest 3-point edge at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This battle of wills kept fans on the edge of their seats through the third period.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for merely 10 points. But, The Black Horses stormed out of the locker room and bolted out to a decent first quarter lead 8-2. They put together an imposing defense and seized momentum in the period. Yet, Waterford rallied in the second quarter and outscored Schuylerville by 8 points.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Waterford out in front. The Fordians played solid as a rock in the second period turning a 6-point first quarter deficit into a 2-point halftime bulge.
