As both teams refused to go away quietly the game went to overtime where The Warriors outperformed Guilderland 13-8. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for merely 13 points.
Averill Park held a small 1-point lead going into the second frame.

The Dutchmen put forth a team first approach that provided a spark out of intermission, which enabled them to commandeer the lead 30-24 heading towards the fourth period. However, Averill Park rallied in the fourth quarter to tie the game and force the extra session.
Ben Romer paced Averill Park with 14 points. Vinny Carucci netted 8 points. Nick Clemenzi had 8 points. Mike Sullivan finished with 7 points.
