Hoosic Valley slipped past Maple Hill 48-39 in a contest that most area coaches thought would be a showdown of two quality small school teams. The Indians rode the coattails of their unwavering second half play as they led at the end of the third frame and at the last whistle.
Hoosic Valley held a small 4-point lead at the start of the fourth quarter. This no holds barred match up felt like a clash of the titans through the third frame.

The two squads struggled to grab a foothold as the teams went to the first half intermission with Maple Hill nosing in front. The Wildcats played solid as a rock in the second quarter turning a tied game into a 1-point halftime bulge.
Hoosic Valley put forth a team first approach that provided a spark out of the locker room,0 and snatched the lead 35-31 heading towards the last quarter.
