Northville were cut down versus Mayfield by 7 points 58-51. Mayfield built on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third quarter and at the game ending horn.
Mayfield used an impressive first eight minutes and started the game in style racing to a decent first quarter lead 13-7. They put together an imposing defense and gained momentum throughout the frame. Yet, The Falcons bounced back in the second quarter and outscored Mayfield by 7 points.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half break with Northville nosing in front. The Falcons produced as a complete unit in the second period turning a 6-point first quarter deficit into a 1-point halftime advantage.
