Amsterdam defeated Fonda 63-40 on the hardwood of Section 2 basketball. Jackie Stanavich and Andie Gannon combined to score 39 points for the Rams. Stanavich scored her 1000th career point during the game.
Amsterdam were strong out of the gate and played excellent team basketball on their way to a significant first quarter lead 18-5. They put together an imposing defense and gained momentum throughout the frame.
