Mechanicville narrowly held off Schuylerville 47-39 in an uber competitive game in the area. Both teams left it all on the court. The Red Raiders rode the coattails of their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third frame and at the final tick of the clock.
Schuylerville held a small 1-point lead heading into the second quarter.
Mechanicville played solid as a rock in the second quarter turning a 1-point first quarter deficit into a 10-point halftime bulge.
Schuylerville cut into the lead in the final quarter but the hourglass ran out of sand.
Chloe Goverski paced Mechanicville with 17 points. Amy DiSiena collected 10 points. Hailey Phelps scored 7 points. Maddie Shakow accumulated 7 points.
