Averill Park squeaked by Colonie 63-52 in a high energy Capital Region basketball battle. Fans could not have been disappointed as the contest lived up to its pre-game expectation. Amelia Wood led the Warriors with 22 points.
The Warriors played solid as a rock in the second frame turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 9-point halftime advantage.
The offenses clicked in the fourth quarter as they generated a high octane 43 points.
