Shenendehowa steam rolled past Averill Park 63-34 on the hardwood of Section 2 basketball. Rylee Carpenter led the winners with 21 points.

Shenendehowa fired on all cylinders right from the jump and sprinted out to an ample first quarter lead 19-12.

The Plainsmen raced ahead after two quarters 36-16. Shenendehowa performed well in the second period turning a 7-point first quarter lead into a 20-point halftime bulge.

Shenendehowa were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Averill Park by 15 points.

The teams put on a defensive clinic in the fourth quarter as they combined for just 14 points. Averill Park cut into the lead in the final quarter but the hourglass ran out of sand.

Shenendehowa were on top at every period closing whistle by plus 7, 20, 35, & 29.

The Plainsmen had a foursome in double figure scoring. Rylee Carpenter paced the Plainsmen with 21 points. Meghan Huerter powered in 15 points. Jillian Huerter collected 11 points. Sarah Jacques totaled 10 points.
The Plainsmen connected on 5 buckets from beyond the arc.
Shenendehowa shot with great fundamentals from the free throw line as they made 70%, 14 of 20.

Amelia Wood led Averill Park with 10 points. Anna Jankovic netted 6 points. Michelina Lombardi had 6 points. Taylor Holohan finished with 5 points.
