Fonda outlasted Fort Plain 46-43 in a game that most fans thought would come down to the last echo of the whistle.
Fonda generated a game changing eight-minute comeback as they out-shot the Hilltoppers 17-8 as time wound down. That final push proved to be the difference.
Offensive and defensive adjustments in the second half were a key as Fonda outscored the Hilltoppers 28-16 in the final two quarters. That was the opposite of the first half when the Hilltoppers put together 27-18 lead at the midway point.
