Waterford knocked off Fort Edward 74-41 in a Capital Region basketball match up. Gavin Bodah paced the winners with 18 points.

The Fordians had great energy right from the tip off and started the game in style racing to a hefty first quarter lead 21-4. They relied on their stout defense and grabbed control of the frame.

Waterford found themselves in a great position at the midway point ahead 37-11. The Fordians played sound basketball in the second quarter turning a 17-point first quarter lead into a 26-point halftime bulge.

Waterford were benefitted by a robust performance in the third quarter and outscored Fort Edward by 4 points.

The Fordians were on top at every quarter buzzer by plus 17, 26, 30, & 33.

Waterford had a quartet of players in double figure scoring. Gavin Bodah led Waterford with 18 points. Howard Phelan poured in 15 points. Derrick Pontore totaled 11 points. Lucas Cassin popped in 10 points.
Waterford made 8 baskets from long distance.
Howard Phelan made 3 three-pointers.

Ashton Sullivan paced the Flying Forts with 13 points. Zach Bartholomew powered in 7 points. Noah Duket finished with 6 points. Bradley Kamburelis had 6 points. Bryce Tyler sank 5 points.
