Averill Park took care of South Glens Falls 81-38 in the opening round of the Averill Park tip off tournament. Amelia Wood was a walking bucket for the winners taking charge with 18 points.
The Warriors used a monster second half as they were laser focused in victory.
South Glens Falls trailed 36-24 at the half. Averill Park performed effectively in the second frame turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 12-point halftime edge.
The Warriors used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored South Glens Falls by 17 points.
Averill Park were on top at each quarter buzzer by splits of (+) 5, 12, 29, & 43.
The Warriors placed four in double figure scoring. Amelia Wood paced the Warriors with 18 points. Michelina Lombardi poured in 15 points. Taylor Holohan had 14 points. Kayleigh Ahern accumulated 11 points. Tatiana Tune chalked up 9 points.
