Waterford seized a down to the wire victory over Saratoga Catholic 47-42 in what turned out to be a mammoth test between the lines of Wasaren League hoop teams. Gavin Bodah played like a video game cheat code for the Fordians leading the way with 21 points.

The Fordians produced a last period comeback as they ground out a victory versus Saratoga Catholic 15-8 by the conclusion of the frame. That run iced the game.

The Saints held a modest 2-point edge at the beginning of the fourth quarter. This no holds barred match up was a war on the floor through the first twenty-four minutes of action.

Focused play in the second half helped as Waterford outscored Saratoga Catholic 31-18 in the final two periods. That was reverse of the first half when Saratoga Catholic put together 24-16 lead at the midway point.

Saratoga Catholic held a slight 3-point advantage at the start of the second quarter.

Saratoga Catholic played solid as a rock in the second frame turning a 3-point first quarter lead into a 8-point halftime bulge.

The Fordians maximized their play in the third quarter and outscored Saratoga Catholic by 6 points.

Gavin Bodah led Waterford with 21 points. Howard Phelan added 7 points. Lucas Cassin scored 6 points. Derrick Pontore sank 6 points.
Waterford made 4 hoops from long range.
