Schoharie escaped with a victory over Cairo Durham 53-42 in an exciting Section 2 hoop non-league match up.
Schoharie used a fourth quarter counterattack getting the better of Cairo Durham 16-5 as regulation came to an end. That run iced the game.
Both teams scratched and clawed to score the ball in the opening quarter as they combined for merely 15 points.
The end result was still uncertain as the teams went to the first half stoppage with the game tied 19-19.
The two squads refused to give ground through three quarters as the score was tied at 37. Offense out-shined the defense in the third quarter as the teams combined for a high octane 36 points.
