Albany Academy prevailed over Voorheesville 63-45 in a high energy Colonial Council hoop affair. The Bears relied on their steady second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the final flip of the hourglass.
The Bears closed out the contest in splendid fashion as they went past the Blackbirds by 5-points in crunch time.
Voorheesville held a slight 1-point advantage heading into the second quarter.
Albany Academy played sound basketball in the second quarter turning a 1-point first quarter deficit into a 7-point halftime edge. However, Albany Academy made the most of great halftime adjustments and grabbed a 49-36 lead into the fourth quarter.
