Cobleskill seized a down to the wire victory over Voorheesville 46-45 in one of the top games from around the region. Nick Petersen played like a video game cheat code for the winners popping in 18 points.
Cobleskill generated a game changing eight-minute counterattack getting the better of the Blackbirds 17-7 as regulation came to an end. They survived this tough encounter.
Focused play in the second half helped as Cobleskill outscored the Blackbirds 30-16 in the final two frames. That was reverse of the first half when the Blackbirds used excellent synergy to grab a 29-16 lead at the midway point.
The Blackbirds performed effectively in the second quarter turning a 5-point first quarter lead into a 13-point halftime edge.
Cobleskill used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Voorheesville by 4 points.
Nick Petersen paced Cobleskill with 18 points. Charles Foote netted 8 points. Ty LaBarge tallied 8 points. Caleb Helme sank 6 points.
The Bulldogs manufactored 8 buckets from beyond the arc.
