In spite of an virtuoso scoring effort from MeChalle Cancer of Albany, the Falcons suffered a setback versus Shenendehowa 49-45. Cancer scored a game high 25 points. Kaleigh Montanez led the Plainsmen with 15 points.
Shenendehowa came up with a final stanza comeback as they ground out a victory versus the Falcons 12-2 as time wound down. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome.
Albany held a small 1-point lead going into the second frame.
