In spite of an excellent game by Jessica Meade of Schoharie, the Indians were defeated by Mayfield 51-33 in the Mayfield Holiday Tournament. Meade scored a game high 17 points. Adriana Yuret took control of the offense for Mayfield with 14 points.
Mayfield closed out the contest in splendid fashion as they got the better of Schoharie by 5-points at the critical stage of the game.
The squads revved up the offenses and combined for a potent offensive display 34 points in the second quarter. The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Mayfield nosing in front.
Mayfield used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Schoharie by 9 points.
The Panthers managed to be ahead at all quarter buzzer by separations of 4, 4, 13, & 18.
Mayfield placed three players in double figure scoring. Adriana Yuret led Mayfield with 14 points. Brooke Iannuzzi scored 10 points. Cloey Dopp added 10 points. Kelsey Meca connected on 9 points. Katarina Agerter popped in 6 points.
Mayfield produced 5 trifectas.
